I find it (I won't say appalling just yet) interesting that carnivoric 'life' is based on 'being' and the embracing of killing life-forms that eat plants. Why? Well, first of all, none of us are a 'being' in total. We are, to counter the meat eating dieters, mind, body, spirit and souls. And, as I contemplate my 'heritage' I find I must challenge such an absurdity as that of judging other living beings who eat plants as a cause to kill them because they eat too.
And, just to dispell all conversations regarding food, it is better to eat plants than to eat each other, be we wolf, alligator, etc., or humans bent on dining on gentle plant eating creatures.
Secondly, God, for those who assert they believe in God, gave us the Garden of Eden, from which to hold as, if we believe in God, as a model for living, since, as we know we are creations of the 'whole' of what we 'are'.
And, frankly, as I grow in aged wisdom I find that this killing of 'gentler creatures' is not a thing to base killing and eating these animals. It is disconcerting.
It is further disconcerting to KNOW that killing animals therefore is only based on hatred for what we are, and is a determination to kill based on evil ego.
So, what can we do when so many are willing enough and beguiling enough to continue the slaughter of animals as well as the 'right way for us to behave'? For one, going vegan, making sense out of leaving simple vegetarianism and so forth comes to mind.
