Here is a copy of my letter to petfinder.com

They are no longer allowing rescue groups who transport pets across state lines to advertise on their site.

Dear Petfinder,

I love your service and advertise it where I can. I adopted my latest dog through you and Miss Linda's Rescue of New England and TenNessee. I am distressed as I have read that you no longer allow Miss Linda's To advertise on Petfinder.

I want you to know that without Miss Linda's Rescue, I would not have found my absolutely wonderful dog, and that he may have well been put to sleep in a TN shelter.

Miss Linda's sends many dogs to New England where we have less homeless dogs than other parts of the country, such as TN where they are based. They have rescued dogs from TN Kennels, puupy mills, and TN Kill Shelters, and found homes for thousands of these healthy loving dogs In New England. There is even another Miss Linda's dog In my neighborhood (of downtown Boston) that my dog plays with!

I was well aware of the fact that my rescued dog was coming from TN. And Miss Linda's had him vetted and neutered in TN before his transport up here. When he arrived in MA he was checked out at a vet in MA and kept in Quarantine for 3 days before I could take him home. So you can see, that Miss Linda's IS doing everything right and beyond the call of duty, and they have saved thousands of dogs from dying in TN.

By not allowing groups like Miss Linda's from not transporting dogs to other states where less homeless dogs are found, Petfinder is enabling breeders to breed more dogs because of higher demand, rather than save dogs from the gas chambers in other parts of the country.

PLEASE< PLEASE< Allow for the transport of dogs beyond state lines... This Will save thousands, if not millions of lives!
